Bike Clubs & Organizations in Maine

The Bicycle Coalition of Maine (BCM) is our statewide cycling advocacy organization. Their vision is to make Maine accessible for all bicyclists so they may bicycle comfortably and responsibly. The BCM promotes bicycling for transportation, health, recreation and fun to enhance Maine’s communities, environment and economy.

Visit the BCM website, www.bikemaine.org for more information and listings of local bike organizations and clubs. Keep in mind, clubs can be a great source of “insider” information and recommendations about cycling here in Maine. Many clubs offer group rides for cyclists of all abilities.

In addition to the loop tours mapped on this site, you may want to check out maps from:

  • Delorme: This site provides great highway maps.
  • Adventure Cycling: Check out Maine bikes routes from Fryeburg to Newcastle and Bar Harbor to Kittery.

Local chambers of commerce can also provide local and regional street maps.
