31-mile loop with optional side trips stretching to 46 miles |

Flat to rolling with three short climbs outside Stonington |
There is so much to see on this 31-mile loop through downeast Maine, you may want the whole weekend to complete it. The fishing villages, beaches and coves along the way beg additional exploration. The centerpiece of the ride is the working fishing village of Stonington that in earlier times was home to several granite quarries.
The optional 10-mile out-and-back side trip to scenic Sunshine should not be missed, especially in early June when the lupines are in bloom. With the initial out-and-back warm-up on the Eggemoggin Rd., this tour can be extended to 46 miles.
