As the gateway to the North entrance of Baxter State Park and Aroostook County, the area is abundant with pristine lakes, streams, wilderness and wildlife providing an ideal setting for tourism. The Valley is easily accessible, located off Interstate 1-95. Rail transportation is also available to this area two hours south. The Northern Katahdin Valley is approximately 6 hours north of Boston, ten hours north of New York City and 20 minutes from the New Brunswick Canadian Border.
